The Mystic Inn

The Mystic Inn is a 3-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental on the second floor of a beautifully renovated 1910 building in downtown Lake Geneva, with Eight Maids Cheese Shop and Wine Bar right on the first floor.

That's not a figure of speech. A curated wine and cheese experience is literally one staircase away, open five days a week until 8pm. It's the kind of perk that turns a good trip into a great one.

The apartment itself has real character. Original dark wood trim and doors, hardwood floors, and period details throughout. It's been updated for comfort without losing the warmth and authenticity of a 115-year-old building. Three bedrooms (one king bedroom and two queen bedrooms) sleep up to 6 guests. The full bathroom has a walk-in shower. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the living and dining area is a comfortable spot to regroup after a day of exploring.

You're in the middle of everything. The lakefront, the Riviera, restaurants, boutiques, and all of downtown Lake Geneva's best attractions are within a 10-minute walking distance. This is the kind of location where you park once and don't think about your car again until checkout.

The building also carries a notable piece of Lake Geneva history. 723 Williams Street was the original headquarters of TSR Hobbies, the company Gary Gygax founded to publish Dungeons and Dragons. The second floor where you'll be staying served as the creative workspace where early D and D materials were developed. The building is a stop on the Adventurer's Map of Lake Geneva, and every spring, Gary Con, the annual tabletop gaming convention, draws fans from around the world to town. It's a fun layer of history that adds to the experience whether you're a gamer or not.

The Mystic Inn is a great fit for girls' getaways, small bachelorette groups, couples' trips, D and D enthusiasts, and family retreats. Really anyone looking for a walkable downtown stay with built-in charm.

Please note: The wine and cheese shop operates during business hours, so if you're sensitive to noise during the day, keep that in mind. After 9pm, the building is yours.

PLEASE NOTE: For security purposes, entry and exterior security cameras are present on the property. No parties are allowed. Max occupancy is 6 guests. Primary renter must be 25 or older. After booking, guests will need to provide their email address and sign an electronic guest rental agreement.
